Choosing the Right Electrolux Cooktop
When it comes to cooking, having a reliable cooktop is a must for all our kitchens. At Electrolux we like to think of ourselves as the Cooktop Masters. Our ambassador, Tetsuya Wakuda agrees “I’ve known the company for years and I’ve been using Electrolux equipment ever since I started in Rozelle. In Europe it’s one of the most popular brands for commercial kitchens, and for the home cook it offers the same durability, reliability and ease of cleaning needed on a large scale in restaurants."
New Cooktop or New Kitchen?
If you are just changing an old cooktop you could replace it with exactly the same size and style. That said, if your kitchen fittings allow you could change to another fuel type? If you are installing a new kitchen however, make sure you choose an Electrolux Cooktop that is going to give you the best results, and looks part of the complete design.
What about Burners?
Three, Four, Five? The number of burners really depends on how much cooking you do on your cooktop. So if you have a large family and always have something bubbling away on the stove, go for the most you can fit in the space you have available.
Cooking with...?
Traditionally there have been only two ways of heating food on a cooktop, gas or ceramic, which uses electricity. Gas gives us a lot of control over the heat, although is sometimes more difficult to fit into a kitchen. Ceramic on the other hand is safer and very easy to clean, as there are no naked flames to worry about. There is a new kid on the block however, and at Electrolux we think it's going to take the cooking world by storm - Induction Cooktops.
Introducing Induction
Electrolux Induction Cooktops generate heat directly to the bottom of the pan, while keeping the cooking surface relatively cool. So, whatever size or shape pot you use, the food inside will be cooked to perfection. They're easy to clean, super quick to heat up and have sliding touch controls, keeping you firmly in charge.
Top of the Pots
If you are using a gas or ceramic cooktop, the size of the pot you are cooking with is important. Matching the right size pot or pan to the right size burner will make sure you are cooking your food thoroughly. Not only that, it also means you won't be wasting any energy.
Keeping it Clean
Pots bubbling over and pans spitting oil can only mean one thing - a very dirty cooktop. If you find cleaning your gas cooktop difficult you may want to consider changing to an Electrolux Ceramic cooktop or even our state-of-the-art Electrolux Maxi-sense Induction Cooktop. Both of which can be cleaned in a flash!
