Make it a family affair
The laundry isn’t a chore that only mum can do. Get the whole family involved, even the little ones. Kids as young as two can help you throw wet clothes into the dryer and if they’re a little older they could help you with the folding.
Spread the load
Don’t just rely on one large laundry basket. Put smaller ones in each bedroom and maybe one in the bathroom too. You could even do the washing room by room, and when it’s dry place it on the bed for the occupant to fold and put away.
Don’t bother sorting
Well, you do have to sort the washing a bit, but not as much as most of us do. Wash underwear and socks on warm, separate really heavily soiled clothes and those that are likely to run into a special wash and the rest, they can all go in together on cold.
Load up before you go
Do your laundry around any errands you need to run. Push start just before you go out of the door and when you get back everything should be ready to be hung out to dry.
