Mike Putt Teams Up With OzHarvest
To Feed Vulnerable Aussies

OzHarvest is Australia’s leading food rescue organisation with a driving purpose to Nourish Our Country. Founded by Ronni Kahn in 2004, it began with a simple concept to rescue good food that would otherwise go to waste and deliver it to people in need. It also runs education programs NEST and Nourish, and recently opened Australia’s first free supermarket to creative positive change in the lives of vulnerable people.

This year on Monday 19 March, Oz Harvest’s flagship fundraiser, the CEO CookOff will be taking place in Sydney. Electrolux Managing Director, Mike Putt will be leading by example and jumping into the kitchen as sous chef, alongside some of Australia’s top chefs, including Electrolux Ambassadors and chefs, Massimo Mele & James Viles. The annual event brings together CEOs, Managing Directors & Senior Business Directors from leading companies to join forces with top chefs to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people across Australia.

The night is a celebration of community spirit with some healthy competition thrown into the mix, as CEOs and Chefs prepare and serve a gourmet meal to over a thousand special guests. Now in its seventh year, the CEO CookOff has raised over of $7million, which has helped provide 14 million meals to those in need. This year is no exception and the goal is to raise $2 million which allows OzHarvest to provide up to four million meals, whilst working towards eliminating hunger and food waste in Australia.

With 3.6 million Australians experiencing food insecurity each year, it is important we do anything we can to help. By reaching our goal of $50,000 we can help OzHarvest provide over 100,000 meals. $1 can provide two meals to those in need, so even the smallest donations count. Click on the heart to donate today.
